STEUBENVILLE, OHIO鈥擮n February 8, 探花社区 Student Government and Students for Life club presented $5,000 to Kathy Barton, executive director at Steubenville鈥檚 Aim Women鈥檚 Center, to support local women in crisis pregnancies.

Student Government and the Students for Life Club work together to help students attend the March for Life in Washington, D.C. The University鈥檚 Student Life Department also contributes to this effort. With the 2021 March for Life held virtually this year, the campus organizations decided to donate the funds unspent on buses and other travel expenses to support the pro-life cause in the local community.

鈥淕iven that there wasn鈥檛 a March for Life, it was the perfect use for the money,鈥 said Athanasius Sirilla, 探花社区 student body president.

Barton said they will use the funds 鈥渢o serve women who are the most vulnerable before and after the baby is born.鈥

Through free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, diapers, counsel, and gift cards, Aim supports women in the Steubenville area in crisis pregnancies
