Campus Visit FAQs

Do I have to visit campus before applying?

No, visiting 探花社区 before applying is not required, but it is recommended. Visiting our campus allows you to discover who you can become at Franciscan. As you explore our academic offerings, admissions and financial aid information, and vibrant student life, you鈥檒l begin to see your own unique path and purpose take shape.

Plus, since full-time undergraduate students are required to live in on-campus housing while enrolled, touring our campus, residence halls, and dining options helps you determine if life at Franciscan suits your needs.

Can I visit Franciscan in the summer?

Yes, you can visit 探花社区 during the summer! We host Summer Visit Days from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM. These events include an information session with one of our admissions counselors, a comprehensive walking campus tour, and noon Mass. Because these tours take place during the summer, there are no classes to observe, and the residence halls are not open for visitation.

Where should I park when visiting campus?

Enter campus via Franciscan Way West, the second entrance on University Boulevard, just past St. Junipero Serra Hall on your right. Continue up the hill to the T-intersection. You鈥檒l see Christ the Teacher Hall directly ahead and the visitor parking lot on your left.

Park in the visitor lot and cross the street to Christ the Teacher Hall.

For summer visits and private tours, follow the sidewalk to the right between Christ the Teacher Hall and Stafford/Egan Hall. The Admissions Office will be on your left.

How long are Franciscan鈥檚 fall and spring semester campus tours?

Typically, Franciscan鈥檚 Visit Days begin at 8:30 AM and last until 3:00 PM.

What should I wear to a campus visit?

Since our visits include a walking tour, dress comfortably for walking, and choose something neat and appropriate. You may be visiting classrooms, attending Mass, or meeting faculty, so aim for attire suitable for those environments.

Are campus tours free?

Yes, Franciscan鈥檚 campus visits, including tours and many scheduled activities, are offered at no cost. Meals may also be provided during certain visit experiences.
